Our family really enjoyed relaxing on the beach at Krabi. We stayed at Somkiet Buri Resort and absolutely loved it, spacious residences tucked into the jungle, great service, and close proximity to the beach. We ended up spending most of our days at spot #5 on the beach, where we got chairs, shade, massages, free pineapple, and drinks. Down the beach to the end there was a group of wild monkeys, a welcome surprise! We took the longboat 4-island tour for a day trip and loved it! The limestone rock formations are amazing and unique. The beach at Krabi was clean, the water fairly calm, the sunsets okay, and the food satisfying. Get some souvenir shopping done here, but other places in Thailand are cheaper. 
Other island beaches we visited had bluer water, however. We were there at Christmas time. Perfect!
